To offset the ecological footprint generated by MOMSteel Racing Team’s participation in the 24 Hours TT Vila de Fronteira last year, approximately 60 trees were planted on Monday in the Municipality of Fronteira. In December 2023, the participation of three supported cars, including support vehicles, resulted in around 5700 kg CO2eq emissions. With the planting of 68 trees annually, we will recover approximately 6800 kg CO2eq per year. This ongoing recovery not only provides immediate compensation but also contributes to long-term sustainability.

This initiative took place across various outdoor spaces in the Alentejo municipality, specifically in Fronteira at locations such as the Football Field Changing Rooms, the Gymnasium Pavilion, Espírito Santo Garden, the Daycare Center, Boavista Garden and Multi-Purpose Pavilion, as well as at the Elderly Care Home, and in Cabeço de Vide at the Municipal Market and Daycare Center. The Municipality of Fronteira and EMPEV collaborated in making this action possible.

This effort exemplifies one of MOMSteel’s initiatives towards building a greener future.
